Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years old. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data from being collected about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us at info@blossomharbor.nl, and we will delete this information.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

Blossom Harbor processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Handling your payment
  • Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
  • To be able to call or email you if necessary to perform our services
  • To inform you about changes to our services and products
  • To offer you the opportunity to create an account
  • To deliver goods and services to you
  • Blossom Harbor analyzes your behavior on the website to improve the website and tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.
  • Blossom Harbor also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.

Automated Decision Making

Blossom Harbor does not use automated processing to make decisions about matters that may have (significant) consequences for individuals. This concerns decisions made by computer programs or systems without the intervention of a person (for example, an employee of Blossom Harbor).

How Long We Retain Personal Data

Blossom Harbor does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data:

  • The personal data collected for the ordering process will generally be deleted no later than two years after the order.
  • Inactive accounts will be deleted after two years.
  • The personal data we use for website analysis will be retained for a maximum of 24 months.
  • The email address used for our newsletter will be immediately removed from the list upon unsubscribing.

In addition to the above retention periods, we may need to retain certain personal data to comply with statutory retention obligations, such as retaining certain accounting data for 7 years from the end of the year in which the relevant data have lost their current importance for (tax) business operations in connection with our tax retention obligation arising from Article 52 of the Dutch State Taxes Act. The specific retention periods mentioned above may be extended or legal retention periods may become applicable to which we need to comply. We may also retain personal data for a longer period of time if necessary for our legitimate interests, such as for settling legal disputes.

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

Blossom Harbor does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide them if this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We conclude a data processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Blossom Harbor remains responsible for these processing operations.
